Christmas Celebration
Dear Friends and Family,
You are cordially invited to our annual Filipino Apostolate Christmas Celebration. It will be held on Dec 8th, 2019 from 12:30-4 pm at Joseph’s Catholic Church, 790
Salem St., Malden.
Festivities start with Christmas Pageant at 12:30 pm featuring our Youth and the Filipino Apostolate Choir.
Holy Mass follows at 1 pm with Rev. Fr Peru Dayag as celebrant.
Our Prayers of the Faithful will be in Filipino dialects.
Up next is potluck lunch with lechon and a Christmas Program at the Church Hall.
We will have a 50/50 Christmas Raffle to benefit Friends of The Unborn - a pregnancy care center in Quincy, Ma. More gifts will be raffled. Please email cjpag@gmail.com for your raffle prize donation and we thank you for your generosity. I
Santa Claus is coming!

Lent announcements
1.) THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU
Father Peru will be available for confession every Second Sunday from 12 to 1pm at St Joseph Church.
2.) LENTEN REGULATIONS
ABSTINENCE: Catholics over 14 years of age are bound to the obligations of abstinence. Abstinence is to be observed on Ash Wednesday and the Fridays of Lent.
Meat should not be consumed on days of abstinence.
FASTING: Catholics from the age of 18 to 60 are bound to the obligation of fasting. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are the days of fasting. On these days, only one full meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain one's strength, may be consumed, but together they should not equal another full meal. Eating between meals is not permitted, but liquids, including milk and fruit juices are allowed.
